According to DeFuniak Springs Police Department, [Olean Wilson] was the passenger in her own car, driven by James Edward Thompson, of River-view, when the vehicle entered U.S. Highway 90 from 20th Street. Valerie A. Peters, 27, of Hackleburg, Ala., is being held in an Alabama jail in connection with the theft of a pair of earrings from a Seagrove Beach residence, according to the Walton County Sheriff's Depart-ment. At 4 p.m. [Erin] was located near 25.7 north latitude, 58.1 west longitude, or about 600 miles southeast of Bermuda. Erin was moving north-northwest near 8 mph and was expected to continue this motion during the next 24 hours, hurricane specialist Lixion Avila said.
