\"California has a wealth of brain power when we consider Silicon Valley,\" said [Linda Harris-Forster], daughter of South Central activist \"Sweet\" Alice Harris. \"We have to infuse our economy with new revenues from green technology that will help create family wage jobs. It is a win-win-win situation.\" \"I do not support the governor's budget plan nor do I support lottery-backed bonds that will leave our children huge debt in the years to come,\" [Hall] said of how the state should address its budget woes. \"I believe that we should reconsider the various tax breaks we are giving to certain groups ... We should make the business industry pay their share of taxes.\" \"The bottom line is that there no simple solutions,\" [Diane J. Martinez] said. \"It is really a long-term solution that involves tackling our infrastructure such as water, energy and transportation. It is a solution that involves building a stronger and more competitive economy with good jobs ...
