* Matt Bragaw, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Melbourne, was misidentified on page 13A to story on 1A on Wednesday. * In a caption on page 1A on Wednesday , Eva Dixon was not getting help from a woman volunteer in the photo. The volunteer was cleaning up nearby properties. 12/28/26 *Disaster assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is unavailable to victims of the Christmas Day tornadoes until the president declares the area a disaster. An item on Page 13A in Wednesday's paper contained incorrect information. On Monday, eight people were transported to Halifax Medical Center from DeLand and two from Daytona Beach. Daytona Beach firefighters treated six residents with injuries not considered life- threatening and responded to 50 other emergency calls.
