-- While it's already becoming clear who will be taking home the gold, no one knows who's going to get the dogs. Or plum and rice wine. Or even the books of poetry. The three dogs are not just ordinary pooches, but rare Chindo pups, from the Korean island of the same name. The brown and white short- haired, adorable animals whose tails form a complete circle when they stand up were donated by breeders as gifts for three deserving competitors out of the nearly 10,000 who came to the Seoul Olympics. Choi Ye Sub, deputy secretary- general of the Seoul Olympic Organizing Committee will have to decide who gets the dogs, which require a special government export permit. He'll also have to figure out the recipients of 331 sets of plum and rice wine in totem-pole bottles, 400 poetry books, 3,000 Korean fans, 3,400 fan letters handed out by a literary group and a number of other gifts donated for the visiting competitors.
