[Thomas F. Gallagher] was the guest speaker at the 2nd annual dinner of the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Officers Association (PLEOA) at the George Washington Lodge. About 325 attended the dinner, which washeld in conjunction with the 5th annual Whitehall Policeman's Ball. Lt. Al Fritzinger of the Whitehall Township police, PLEOA president, said the organization founded by Whitehall police in Feb. 1984 has sanctioned a chapter in Berks County this year. Its goal, he said, is to have a chapter in all 67 counties. Whitehall detective Gerry Procanyn, secretary, presented $500 scholarships to Criminal Justice programs in four area colleges - Lehigh and Northampton Area Community Colleges, Penn State University Berks Campus and Allentown College.
