Overview
That plan calls for two new schools - Macungie for 450 K-3 students, and a new [Jefferson] for 650 4-6 grade students. Lincoln, Wescosville, Kings Highway, Lower Macungie, Alburtis and the new Macungie schools would house grades K-3, and Shoemaker and the new Jefferson would house grades 4-6. A student \"feeder\" pattern also was discussed for the first time for both of those options. Under the new option, students from Lincoln, Kings Highway and Wescosville (K-3) would move to Jefferson (4-6), and students from Lower Macungie, Alburtis and the new Macungie school would feed into Shoemaker. Under the K-2 option, students from Wescosville (K-2) would feed into Lower Macungie (3-6) or vice versa; students from the new Macungie and Alburtis (K-2) would feed into Shoemaker (3-6), and Lincoln (K-2) would feed into Jefferson (3-6).
