It was not serious enough that Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid put out a call for big bodies willing to serve as cannon fodder in his training camp, but a combination of injuries, dehydration and the excused absence of [Corey Simon] left the Birds with a light pool of defensive linemen Sunday afternoon at Lehigh University. Simon could return as soon as today. Reid and other Eagles sources insist his absence is unrelated to his desire to negotiate a contract extension. Simon reported to camp on time on Friday. His excused absence to handle a \"personal\" matter was announced Saturday. Changing colors: Trott's 54, the car wash Jeremiah Trotter owns in Cherry Hill, N.J., will get some new coats of paint this week. The car wash is burgundy and gold, the colors of Trotter's former team, the Washington Redskins. It will be repainted in the Eagles' green, black and silver. The business could use a partial name revision, too, because 54 -- the number Trotter wore in Washington and earlier in his career with the Eagles -- belongs to fellow linebacker Nate Wayne. Trotter is wearing No. 51.
