Overview
On the Cougars' next possession, senior running back Malcolm Walker pushed the Cougars down the field on carries of 1, 6 and 53 yards. The drive was topped off by another [Mitch Huelsing] touchdown from a yard out. The second half began much like the first ended with Ripley scoring this time on a 51-yard touchdown run by [Andrew Johnson], which gave the Tigers a 21-14 lead. From that point, things began to unravel for the Cougars as they turned the ball over on a fumble by Huelsing deep in their own territory on their first series of the second half. The Cougar defense stopped the Tigers on three consecutive plays, but on fourth and 4 from the Cougar 9, the Tigers scored again, taking a 28-14 lead. The Cougars came right back, taking a minute and 12 seconds to score on a 37-yard pass from Huelsing to senior Matt Gray, bringing the score to 28-21. Huelsing finished the evening with three completions for 53 yards and a touchdown and two carries for 2 yards and two touchdowns.
