Douglas Vogelsang, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Memphis, said the storm system could bring a lot of rain, but he expects no frozen precipitation. [Tim Curtis] said he had alerted officials with county government and with all of the municipalities about the possibility of flooding. Police and public works officials in Southaven, Olive Branch, Horn Lake and Hernando said they will be checking for possible flooding conditions.
