The Hilliers and their editor, Krishna Andavolu, said they have taken cues from established obituary writers like Jim Sheeler, a reporter with Denver's Rocky Mountain News who won a Pulitzer Prize last year for his report \"Final Salute,\" which looked at how U.S. Marines honor comrades who have died in battle.
