Overview
Captain Michael M. Of Long Beach, NY, passed away on Friday, April 15. He was 86 years old. Born in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn, NY, Captain Chicurel developed a love of the ocean that ushered him into a distinguished career in maritime affairs. He graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in 1943, and served in the United States Navy during World War II.
