Overview
Jurors heard trial testimony about a July 2009 meeting between [Thomas Correa] and a witness that was filmed without Correa's knowledge. Correa's defense lawyer, Dave Bogenschutz, wrote that if jurors saw the full DVD, it may have affected their verdict because the defense had no opportunity to question witnesses or challenge what appeared on the video. The alternate juror claimed that \"several of the jurors had been speaking and talking about the case before she was released and before deliberations\" began. If true, that would have violated the judge's daily orders to jurors not to discuss the case or reach any conclusion before hearing the full case and his legal instructions.
