Suspect arrested in accidental shooting

Overview
A Lake County man was arrested Wednesday morning after accidentally shooting a friend and then tossing the gun in a lake, authorities said. Terrell Purley, 19, of Minneola was playing with his handgun while his friend sat nearby watching TV about midnight, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office. Purley was loading and unloading the gun, according to an arrest affidavit, when it accidentally went off and grazed his friend in the head. Purley then panicked, ran to a nearby dock on Lake Minneola and tossed the gun in the water, deputies said.
