Overview
El Gobierno socialista de Venezuela estimó para su presupuesto del próximo año que el precio del barril de crudo promediará los 40 dólares, una muestra de que la mayor fuente de sus ingresos en divisas podría no recuperarse en el corto plazo. Por años, el Gobierno subestimó el precio del petróleo en sus cuentas para cubrirse de eventuales caídas, pero el proyecto de ley de presupuesto para el 2016, presentado ayer, anticipa una cotización del petróleo en línea con los 41,49 dólares por barril (dpb) en que cerró la cesta venezolana la semana previa.
