Overview
Grand Circle wants to take your grandparents there and back again. Offering more than 75 vacations worldwide, the company provides travel services via land and its own fleet of nearly 20 small ships primarily to customers over 50 years old. Its Grand Circle Travel division offers all-inclusive package tours at a leisurely pace while its Overseas Adventure subsidiary organizes small groups for land, canal barge, and small ship journeys of the more rugged variety. Grand Circle's 40-plus offices are located in Africa, North and South America, Europe, and the Asia/Pacific region. The privately-owned company began life in 1958 as part of a plan by AARP founder Ethel Andrus to help older Americans be more active.
