Overview
Is there anything that the Marine Corps could do to stimulate a creative outlook in its officers? In the recent syllabi of the Marine Corps schools there is not a subcourse devoted to creative thinking. Nor is there any block of instruction that, strictly speaking, qualifies as creative thinking. The approach, at present, appears to be that of urging the students to think and to be creative without providing them with formal instruction in the techniques of stimulating creative responses.
