Lahore: Though the government is under no illusions about who carried out the recent deadly attacks on Army officers and the worshippers at the Peshawar church, it is still committed to implement the APC decisions on holding talks with the Taleban. \"Only a fresh APC can undo the decisions taken in the last APC mandating the government to tackle the issue of terrorism through negotiations with the Taleban,\" Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid told The Nation. This also led PTI chief Imran Khan and JI leader Syed Munawar Hasan to issue statements maintaining that the government would have to convene a new APC if it wanted to try some other option to deal with Taleban.
