About the prospects of talks in the aftermath of [Taleban] chief Hakimullah Mahsud's death, he said the government had never thought of halting the dialogue process with the Taleban despite loss of top military officers and brutal incidents like the Qissa Khawani Bazar blast. Replying to a query, [Pervaiz Rashid] made it clear that the drone attacks and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif's US visit had no correlation. Pakistan and the United States had different viewpoints on the drone attacks.
