Overview
Note: Two men have escaped serious injury when their light plane crash landed on a football field at Runcorn, south of Brisbane this morning. The pilot was forced to make the emergency landing after experiencing engine problems about 7:30am (AEST).Police Inspector Rob Graham says the men on board were lucky to escape with only minor injuries. \"I think under the circumstances the pilot has done an exceptional job here to actually land this aircraft away from the roadway, away from houses on a playing field where no other people have been injured.\" \"Obviously the aircraft has suffered considerable damage - it hit one of the goal posts in the playing area,\" Inspector Graham said.
