Overview
Just as [Wellington] looked to be heading for an inglorious defeat that could have ruled them out of semi-finals contention, [Tim Brown] scored an 83rd-minute tap in to revive the Phoenix's A-League campaign. Velaphi, and the under-fire Perth defence made amends in the closing stages as Wellington's frenetic pressure in the forward third failed to yield a winner. A victory would have been Perth's only acceptable outcome, although the Glory were ultimately luck to escape with a draw that left them in seventh on 16 points, three points adrift of the Phoenix.
