Overview
Skopje, 27 May: Sixty-four members of Macedonian parliament voted for the government proposal for sending new Macedonian army troops to peacekeeping mission in Iraq. He considered that Macedonia should lead more transparent politics. \"We must told to Macedonian public that we are accepting consciously this risk,\" [Tito Petkovski] says. \"The United States and all powerful countries in the world will appreciate us if we are partners, not servants, because servants are not respected,\" he added. MP Trifun Kostovski asked how Macedonian soldiers in Iraq are insured, adding that the government must make efforts to provide higher quotas for our professionals.
