Overview
Bearcats coach Mel Tjeerdsma is just as happy to have [Xavier Omon] back. The first-team All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association player is 18 yards from his third straight 1,000-yard season. He holds school records in career rushing yards (4,200), rushing touchdowns (49) and attempts (782). Omon feels that he has something to prove after being told the past few weeks that he was finished and that the Bearcats didn't miss him because of the performance of Sheldon Cook. The freshman carried the ball 40 times for 296 yards and five touchdowns in the two victories Omon missed.
