Overview
Eventually, and most uproariously, they cheered for Jason L. Thomas, the former Marine and hero of Sept. 11, and for his handsome new home at 4688 Harbinger Circle W. Lines of veterans, at least one in a wheelchair, held American flags as they flanked the road. A crew member finally told the crowd what it had been waiting to hear: The Hummer was going to come through with the Thomas family on board. \"We are a hot set at that point! \" he said. \"Lots of smiling! Lots of waving! \" A happy- looking Thomas family disembarked. After much chanting, the bus that blocked the family's view finally moved out of the way. The Thomases looked stunned. Amazed. Grateful. mcrane@dispatch.com
