About 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Allen White, 62, of Athens, Ala., was heading home on his Yamaha touring bike when he ran into a downed tree that spread across several southbound lanes of Interstate 85 between Durham and Hillsborough, according to Trooper T.S. Wright.
