Overview
David Lewis-Smith, 54, has pleaded not guilty to intentionally or recklessly causing serious injury to Wayne Naughton at the Frankston YCW under-10s footy camp in 2007. Lewis-Smith then allegedly ran at Mr Naughton and punched him to the side of his face, causing him to fall to the ground where he continued to throw punches as he bled profusely. Defence barrister Ian Alger argued Lewis-Smith was acting in reasonable defence of his son, who was being manhandled by Mr Naughton.
