يتناول كتاب (الجيش المصري في الحرب الروسية المعروفة بحرب القرم 1853-1855) والذي قام بتأليفه (عمر طوسون) في حوالي (250) صفحة من القطع المتوسط موضوع (الجيش المصري وحرب القرم، 1853-1856) مستعرضا أبرز المحتويات التالية : لمحة تاريخية عن شبه جزيرة القرم، شبه جزيرة القرم في عهودها الإسلامية، تاريخ استيلاء المسلمين عليها، إرسال سلطان مصر مهندسا إلى عاصمتها لبناء مسجد بها، تأسيس الأسرة التترية في القرم، المسجد الكبير المعروف في أوباتوريا، بخان جامعي، عدد المسلمين بالقرم الآن، المساعدة بالجيوش البحرية والبرية في عهد عباس باشا الأول، المساعدات بالذخائر والأسلحة في عهدي عباس وسعيد.
