يشتمل الكتاب على شرح حالة مصر وحوادثها التاريخية أثناء الحرب العالمية الأولى وبيان الأسباب السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية للثورة وتطور الحوادث ومن بعد إنتهاء الحرب إلى شبوب الثورة فى مارس 1919 ثم وقائع الثورة في القاهرة الأقاليم ومهادنة الثورة واستمرار الثورة ومحاكمات الثورة ولجنة ملنر والحوادث التي لابستها ومفاوضات ملنر واستشارة الأمة في مشروع ملنر والتبليغ البريطاني بأن الحماية علاقة غير مرضية وهل نجحت ثورة 1919؟ وفيم نجحت؟ وثائق تاريخية.
