لخص «نيتشه» أفكاره الفلسفية في كتابه : «هكذا تكلم زرادشت» الذي قال عنه إنه «دهليز فلسفته». ويعتبر هذا الكتاب بحق علامة من علامات الفلسفة الألمانية، فعلى الرغم من مرور أكثر من مائة عام على تأليفه إلا أنه لازالت لأفكاره صدى كبير ؛ لدرجة أن البعض يعده من أعظم مائة كتاب في تاريخ البشرية. وقد أثرت أفكار هذا الكتاب في مجالات إنسانية عدة كالحرب، والسياسة، والفن ؛ فعلى سبيل المثال : كان بعض الجنود في الحرب العالمية الأولى يضعونه في حقائبهم، ويرى البعض أن أفكاره عن «الإنسان المتفوق» مثلت الأساس الذي قامت عليه الأيديولوجيا النازية فأشعلت الحرب العالمية الثانية. كذلك امتد أثر هذا الكتاب إلى الأعمال الفنية، فكان من أبرزها مقطوعة الموسيقار «ريتشارد شتراوس» التي حملت نفس اسم الكتاب، وفيلم «أوديسة الفضاء» ﻟ «ستانلي كوبريك»
