يعد هذا الكتاب دراسة لقواعد اللغة النبطية من حيث حروفها الأبجدية والأصوات الصامتة والصائتة والظروف المكانية والزمانية والإسم وابنيته وإشتقاقه وحالاته والفعل وصيغه والضمائر ونظام الجمل من اسمية وفعلية واستخدم الباحث الحرف العربي في كتابة المفردات النبطية رغبة منه في توسيع دائرة المستفيدين من الباحثين والدارسين، كما اتبع المنهج العلمي المعروف في الدراسات ذات العلاقة بقواعد اللغات العربية القديمة؛ مؤكداً أن أصوات (الذال والخاء والظاء والغين والضاد والثاء) كانت مستخدمة عند الأنباط كما هي في العربية الفصحى بالرغم من معارضة بعض الدارسين.
