تناول المؤلف (عبد الناصر توفيق العطار) في كتابه (خطبة النساء [في الشريعة الإسلامية]) حاجة الشباب إلى دراسة موضوعية لكثير من شئون حياته ومن ذلك، الخطبة، فكان هذا الكتاب وهو دراسة جادة هادفة تتناول الموضوع من النواحي الدينية والاجتماعية والقانونية، توخينا فيها بساطة الأسلوب حتى تصل إلى ذهن القارئ العادي وقد قسمنا هذه الدراسة إلى باب تمهيدي في التعريف بالخطبة وثلاثة أبواب : الأول في اختيار المخطوبة والثاني في العلاقة بين الخاطب والمخطوبة والثالث في انتهاء الخطبة بالعدول عنها أو الوفاة أو الزواج وآثار ذلك.
