بين يدينا أطلس الجغرافية الدينية للتشيع، سعى فيها مؤلفه المختص بتاريخ التشيع عبر سلسلة متناوبة من الدراسات والأبحاث التاريخية المتنوعة أرشفة وتدوين وتحقيق ما تعلق بالتراث الشيعي الإيراني والعربي حيث أن مخطط الكتاب يتقاطع فيه البعد العمودي مع الأفقي، ففقي الوقت الذي اهتم في التجذير التاريخي لحركة التشيع وتوزيعه الجغرافي أو المكاني في العالم القديم ومن ثم الحديث كما أنه في الوقت نفسه سعى إلى متابعة التشيع على المستوى الفكري أو الزماني فأرشف التطورات والتحولات العقيدية التي مر بها التشيع.
