يقدم هذا الأطلس تغطية غير مسبوقة لفترة الكتاب المقدس، وألفي سنة من نمو المسيحية، تشمل فترة الآباء، وحياة السيد المسيح، والكنيسة الأولى، وإصلاح الكنيسة، وكنيسة القرن العشرين، إضافة إلى جوانب تثير اهتمام القراء على اختلاف خلفياتهم، استغرق العمل على هذا الأطلس مدة تناهز سبع سنوات على يد نخبة من الخبراء وكبار المستشارين الأكاديميين، كما جرت عملية التعريب بدقة وتأن وباستشارة العارفين في هذا المجال، هذا وقد أضيفت مجموعة من الخرائط الخاصة بتاريخ المسيحية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، معطين بذلك المسيحية العربية حقها، يعد هذا العمل مرجعا قيما لا غنى عنه لدارسي الكتاب المقدس وتاريخ الكنيسة.
