مع أن كتاب (رؤية دوستويفسكي للعالم) قد كتب سنة 1921، إلا أنه يبقى مهما لاعتبارات عديدة منها أن مؤلفه هو نيقولا برديائف، الذي انجذب إلى دوستويفسكي روحيا زمنا طويلا عاش خلاله هذا الكاتب من خلال مؤلفاته، فكره، رؤاه المختلفة، والاعتبار الثاني هو أن المؤلف قد تناول في هذا الكتاب جوانب غير اعتيادية تكون في مجموعها رؤية الأديب للعالم، فناقش (الإنسان، الحرية، الشر، الحب، الثورة... إلخ.) لدى دوستويفسكي. واصل هذه المناقشات أو الدراسات محاضرات ألقاها المؤلف في ندوة خصصت للأديب في 1920-1921 ودفعته إلى أن يلم شتات تأملاته عن الموضوع فيكون هذا الكتاب.
