كارل ماركس 1818-1883 مؤسس الشيوعية العلمية وفلسفة المادية الجدلية والمادية التاريخية والاقتصاد السياسي العلمي وزعيم ومعلم البروليتاريا العالمية ولد في ترييف حيث أنهى المدرسة الثانوية في عام 1830 وبعد ذلك التحق بجامعة بون ثم جامعة برلين وفي ذلك الوقت كانت نظرته العامة للعالم قد بدأت تتشكل وقد ترك الاتجاه اليساري في فلسفة هيغل أثره على تطور ماركس الروحي، لقد تمسك ماركس بالأفكار الديمقراطية الثورية فاتخذ موقفا يساريا متطرفا بين الهيغليين الشبان وفي مؤلفه الأول الذي كان رسالته في نيل درجة دكتوراه في الفلسفة (الاختلاف بين فلسفة ديموقريطس الطبيعية وفلسفة أبيقور الطبيعية) (1841)، يخرج ماركس من فلسفة هيغل-رغم مثاليته-بنتائج جذرية وإلحادية للغاية وفي عام 1842 أصبح ماركس عضوا في هيئة تحرير صحيفة (راينيش تسايتونغ)
