من غير شك أن جمال الخط وحسنه موهبة من الله تعالى، فكثير من الناس حباهم الله بهذه الميزة التي يفاخرون بها اقرانهم، لكن هذا لا يعني أن الإنسان منا وإن كانت موهبته في هذا الجانب يسيرة قليلة، يستطيع بالممارسة والتدريب في كثير من الأحيان التفوق على فئة الموهوبين. والحقيقة أن الخط الجميل يساعد الطالب في مدرسته أو جامعته في الحصول على علامات أفضل من الطالب رديء الخط، فكثير من الطلاب تكون في بعض الأحيان إجاباتهم غير مقنعة في ورقة الإجابات، لكنهم يحظون بتعاطف المصحح لورقتهم فيحصلون على درجة أفضل من طالب رديء الخط فالمصحح يشمئز من كتاباته وخطه فيحرمه من علامة أو علامتين.
