هذا الكتاب \"الدروز\" هو دراسة علمية ميدانية بحثية قام بها المستشرق والأنتروبولوجي والآثاري الألماني ماكس فون أوبنهايم خلال عامي 1893-1894 وقام بإصداره عامي 1899 و1900 بالألمانية ولأهميته الفائق قامت الحكومة البريطانية بترجمته إلى اللغة الإنجليزية وتوزيعه على ضباط الاستخبارات البريطانية الذين شاركوا باحتلال المنطقة العربية في الحرب العالمية الأولى ويتناول الكتاب الدروز وتاريخهم ذاكرا انتقالهم كقبائل من الجزيرة العربية واستيطانهم في ربوع لبنان وتقبلهم فيما بعد الدعوة الدرزية.
