نبذة النيل والفرات : يتناول هذا الكتاب الأعمال المنجزة لصادق هدايت حول عمر الخيام وأناشيده ورباعياته، ومنها كتابه الأول \"رباعيات عمر الخيام\" وفي بداية الكتاب قدم هدايت سيرة حياة الخيام وأضاف بحوثا أخرى عرف بها بعمر الخيام كعالم رياضيات وفلكي وفيلسوف مؤلف للرباعيات، كما رصد (106 (رباعية في الكتاب الثاني أي \"أناشيد الخيام\"، حذف منها رباعيات لا تخص الخيام ؛ وعلى هذا الأساس يمكن عد الرباعيات المتفق عليها من قبل صادق هدايت (102 (رباعية، وفي كتاب \"أناشيد الخيام\" وردت (62 (رباعية مشتركة مع الكتاب الأول، مع بعض التغييرات وهذا الكتاب الذي في متناول يدكم يجمع ما بين كتابي هدايت.
