هذا الكتاب يعرف في الفارسية بأسم كلستان أي جنة الورد أو حديقة الورد وهو أشهر كتب الأدب الفارسي وأكثرها تداولا حتى اليوم ولا تزال طبعاته تتوالى وتتكرر كما هو الحال فى آثار شكسبير عند الإنجليز وهو في الفارسية حكايات منثورة وبعضها منظوم، وفى ثناياها شعر فارسي وعربي ويراه المتكلمون بالفارسية والمتأدبون بها آية في البلاغة والفصاحة ويتخذونه دستورا أدبيا وأخلاقيا.
