يتناول الديوان جوانب من سيرة الشاعر والأديب الإماراتي الراحل ناصر بن سالم بن علي العويس \"وأشعاره وهو ابن الشاعر الكبير سالم بن علي العويس\"1887-1958\" الذي سبق أن صدر له ديوان شعر فصيح عبر أكثر من جهة ثقافية في الإمارات ثم ديوان شعره النبطي في طبعتين، آخرهما عن أكاديمية الشعر التي يصدر أيضا عنها هذا الديوان وفي كلمة له في الديوان يقول ابنه الأديب حميد بن ناصر العويس إنه كانت لوالده تجربته الشعرية المهمة في الساحة الشعرية في دولة الإمارات، رغم أنه كان مقلا في قرضه الشعر.
