يتعرض الكتاب لحياة ملك الأسرة القديمة، بداية من نشأته وتعلمه الكتابة والقراءة وتلقيه تدريبات مكثفة في الجيش لتعلم \" فن قيادة الرجال\" ثم توليه منصب ملك البلاد الفرعون في شبابه حيث عرف عن سنفرو وفق صحيفة \"أخبار الأدب\" الإسبوعي المصرية ولعه ببناء الأهرامات وبنى ثلاث أهرامات إبان فترة حياته ويعرض الكتاب بعد ذلك لكيفية بناء الأهرامات وأهميتها لدى المصريين القدماء حيث كانت تمثل علامة ملحوظة وهائلة عن مدى ثراء الفرعون وسلطانه كما أن الأهرامات كانت في الغالب أماكن آمنة للمحافظة علي جثمان الملك من عبث اللصوص وبالتالي يمكن للملك أن يعود مرة ثانية إلى الحياة.
