هذا الكتاب هو محاولة متواضعة لرصد أبرز المحطات الكفاحية في حياة المناضل المغاربي سعيد بونعيلات ـالرئيس الحالي للمجلس الوطني لقدماء المقاومين وأعضاء جيش التحرير، وذلك على مدى أكثر من خمسين عاما. ويتضمن هذا الكتاب خفايا إصدار ثلاثة أحكام بالإعدام على بونعيلات من خلال الوثائق القضائية المدنية والعسكرية، إضافة لأدواره في تحضير الثورة الجزائرية المجيدة قبل اندلاعها في الفاتح من نونبر 1954.
