التحقت بالتلفزة في نهاية الستينيات من القرن الماضي بعد أن اشتغلت عدة سنوات في ميدان التعليم، غسلت محرك راء ومذيعا ومراسلا في ظروف سياسية صعبة وإمكانيات مادية هزيلة تدريجيا نسفت مراتب المسؤولية إلى أن أصبحت مديرا التلفزة المغربية طيلة خمس سنوات. خلال هذه الرحلة التي دامت عشرين سنة، كنت شاهدا على الكثير من الوقائع والأحداث، قرية من مركز القرار، منابع أنطوان الحسن الثاني في رحلات داخل المغرب وخارجه. وفي مؤتمرات قمة عديدة وفي كواليس الأمم المتحدة. كنت حاضرا في المحاولتين الفاشلة للانقلاب وعند انطلاق المسيرة الخضراء وفي حرب الصحراء ومراقبا للحراك الوطني من أجل الحرية والديمقراطية. اشتغلت مع إحدى عشرة وزيرا للأنباء ودام مقامي بالوزارة عشرين سنة أخرى توجت بتعيين من طرف الحسن الثاني كاتبا عاما لها. باختصار قضيت أعز فترات حيان، طيلة أربعين سنة، في ميدان الإعلام والاتصال، حاولت خلالها أن أكون صادقا وصدوقا مع نفسي ومع غيري. كل هذا أحكيه بكثير من التأثر في الأجزاء الستة من مذكراتي.
