يسلط هذا الكتاب الضوء على العمارة الفاطمية وزخرفتها تلك العمارة المهمة والفريدة بتشكيلاتها التي تعرضت للإيذاء والتشويه كما نسب ما تركه الفاطميون من آثار عظيمة إلى غيرهم علمان أن حجم ونوعية وفنية العمارة الفاطمية تشير إلى عظمتها التي وصلت في أوجها إلى المراتب الرفيعة بين الدول المعاصرة لها ولا يزال الكثير من آثارها يدل عليها وهناك صروح كبيرة من نتاج الفاطميين باقية حتى اليوم تعاند الزمن في مصر والمغرب العربي واليمن وبلاد الشام. والزخرفة الفاطمية المتأثرة بالعقيدة الإسلامية بشكل مباشر هي انعكاس لما يتفاعل في صدر الفنان جسده خطوطا وحروفا منتقاة من آيات القرآن الكريم بالإضافة إلى الرسوم النباتية والمعماري من إيمان رائعة الجمال والتنسيق.
