تمنى الكاتب أن يلتقي به .. أن يكون على مقربة منه، يجالسه ولو لساعات أو دقائق، يسمع خلالها الشعر وهو يجري على لسانه .. ويرى الأحداث تتكلم من خلال ذاكرته التي امتلأت بأنواع التحدي والكفاح في زمن صعب، لكنه اكتشف أن الفرق بين ما تمناه وما يمكن أن يحدث كبير جدا، وأشبه بالحلم الذي سرعان ما نستيقظ منه، رحل الجمري دون ضجة .. ودون أن يراه أو أجالسه، ولم أجد بعده سوى أشعار تروى له، وصفحات من حياته لم تقرأ كلماتها إلى الآن \"سالم الجمري\" .. ذلك الشاعر العاشق الذي ارتبطت به القصيدة النبطية والأغنية الشعبية في الإمارات ... ارتبط به التراث وذكره الكثيرون الذين تناقلوا عددا كبيرا من قصائده .. ومن بقي منهم على قيد الحياة وكان قد عاصره، لايزال يتحسر على أيامه وأشعاره، فعلام يدل هذا ؟ وما كل هذا الحب لشاعر ارتبط اسمه وقصائده بالحب ؟
