ضم هذا الكتاب، طيفة من الذكريات التي أريد لها أن تقدم صورة ما عن تلك البلدة المسماة بيت ساحور، التي ارتبط اسمها وتاريخها بقصة الرعاة الذين بشرهم الملائكة بولاية السيد المسيح حسب رواية الأناجيل، والتي كرمها الأديب العربي السوري الراحل الدكتور بديع حقي، بعنوان مجموعته القصصية \"قوس قزح فوق بيت ساحور\"، فروى في إحداها، نضال سكان هذه البلدة في مرحلة من مراحل الانتفاضة المجيدة، وهو النضال الذي لابد أن يستمر رغم أنف أصحاب أوسلو، ومن أمام وخلف سلام القمع والإذلال والإفساد الذي أتى بالسلطة التابعة التي أوكل لها المحتلون مهمة قدمير إرادة شعبنا بعد أن عجزوا بأنفسهم عن إنجاز تلك المهية، ولقد ذكر عبر فصول الكتاب الأسماء بعض الأماكن في البلدة دون أن أرهق القارن بتفاصيل المكان.
