الكتاب يتحدث عن الملك عبد العزيز آل سعود حيث أنه قضية متفق عليها ودور معترف به. فهو بكل المعايير شخصية تاريخية كبيرة ضمن مؤسسي الدول ومنشيئ النظم في هذا العالم العربي وفي ظروفه وأحواله. بقي أن أشير إلى أن الشيخ عبد العزيز التويجري لم يزعم لنفسه أنه يقدم بحثا في التاريه، ولعله جمع بين منهج البحث وبين فن الأدب فقدم رؤيته لإنسان ولمحارب ولرجل دولة، وقدمها مدعمة بوثائق من التاريخ. لكن الكتاب في حقيقته قصيدة حب من أول نظرة كما يقولون. فالمؤلف عاشق لبطله من لحظة ظهوره على مسرح الحوادث، ومشجع له في كل وقفة عند كل مشهد، ومتحمس له مع نزول الستار على كل فصل، وواقف معه حتى بعد نزول الستار كأنه وقد انتهت أحداث القصة على المسرح أخذ البطل والأحداث وساحتها الكبيرة جميعا معه وجعلها حياته، وذلك في حد ذاته موقف إنساني مؤثر ونبيل.
