يتحدث هذا الكتاب عن أهمية اللغة حيث أن اللغة هي التي أوجدت الإنسان لقدرة اللغة على الاحتواء الفكري والمعرفي تخرج عن طبيعتها \"الأداتية\" وعن كونها مجرد وسيلة إلى قدرتها على العطاء والإيحاء وتوليد الأفكار والنظريات واللغة الوطنية تواجه كثيرا من التحديات تؤكد أنها طاقة وقيمة مرتبطة بالإنسان والمجتمع والمواطنة والوطن والأمة والإنسانية. واللغة في الخطاب المكتوب لا تقف موقف الوعاء أو موقف الموجه المحدد لمسار الفكر فحسب ولكن لها فاعلية أكبر من ذلك وهي تبادل التأثير مع الفكر تأخذ من الفكر والثقافة والعلم أكثر مما تأخذ من قاموسها الذي وضعه المتحدثون بها أو كاتبوها الأول فيأخذ منها الفكر والثقافة والعلم قدر ما تأخذ منه.
