كتاب يتحدث على أنه شكل البرغواطبون قسما من المملكة التي نشأت بفعل الاضطرابات الخارجية الكبرى أواسط القرن الثامن، ولم تندثر إلا مع قدوم الموحدین متمكنة بذلك، وبرغم كل العقبات، من الحفاظ على وجودها أكثر من أربعة قرون، وكان موطنها بمحاذاة الساحل الأطلسي المغربي، منطقة تامسنا، أي هضبة الشاوية حاليا بين سلا وآزمور، وهؤلاء البربر، الذين يطرح نسبهم القبلي بعض المشاكل أثاروا انتباه جميع المراقبين القدماء بأخلاقهم العالية وجمالهم وبسالتهم، ولفتوا الآن أنظار العديد من الباحثين المحدثين، غير أن هؤلاء، اقتداء بالإخباريين القدماء، لم يحتفظوا من نحلتهم المنسوبة دون جدال إلى النبي صالح بن طریف، إلا بمظهرها \"التحريفي الفاحش للإسلام\".
