Overview
تتمثل رؤية الرواية في انتقاد تنظيمات سياسية فلسطينية وشخصيات وقيادات حاولت استغلال الوطن لمصلحتها الذاتية، فتحول إلى (وطن الشهداء والكذابين)، وتروي تاريخ مدينة بيت لحم وثقافتها وأحيائها. جاءت الأحداث والانتقادات بلغة لا ينقصها جرأة في الطرح والنقد، وتشويق في الحدث والسرد وإبهار في المعلومات، وفي أسلوب التداخل الفني والتوازي (المونتاج). الأسلوب المعتمد على التاريخ الذي تتقاطع معه قصة الراوي (رائد) و(سميرة) ؛ شخصيتان من الزمن الشبابي الفوار بالحركة والشعارات والمبادئ، حمل رسالة الرواية التي تشير إلى التغير الحاصل في المكان والإنسان، فالمكان لم يعد ذات المكان، ومثله الإنسان، الأمر الذي يقود إلى الاغتراب ويعمقه ويدفع بالراوي إلى البحث عن خلاص جماعي للمدينة والناس.
