انطلقت تحت عنوان «الترجمة العلمية والتطور المعرفي» فعاليات الدورة السادسة لمؤتمر أبوظبي الدولي للترجمة الذي تنظمه دائرة الثقافة والسياحة أبوظبي، ضمن فعاليات معرض أبوظبي الدولي للكتاب في دورته الثامنة والعشرين. جاء فيها: «تتنامى أهمية الترجمة في عالمنا اليوم الذي ينشد التفاهم والتمازج والسلام. ولا يخفى على أحد أهمية النتاج الثقافي المشترك والمترجم والروائع العديدة التي أثرت بها مكتبات العالم في الفكر والفلسفة والأدب. وأكد أن الترجمة ذات أثر ثقافي يسهم في تشكيل الوعي وتنوع الموروث الثقافي والفكري العربي، ويعزز من وسائل فهم العالم الآخر واستيعاب ما فيه من تقدم ومعرفة.
